Together, Larry’s brother Ray, his cousins Patrick, Bill, and Stanley, and family friend Larry, grew up like brothers. His mother, Stella, his Aunt Kay, and close family friend Senoria, each took turns raising their six boys while the other two women stayed with the men on the Hudson Bay Railroad. From there, he moved to The Pas, MB where he lived with two other families in addition to his own. At the age of seven, he and his brother Ray went to the Goldbank School in Endeavor, SK.
